The Birdsville Hotel
Australia, Simpson Desert
On the edge of the Simpson Desert, among sand dunes where marsupial mice scurry, lies a hotel and pub that has become a cult destination for all travelers. The walls of this remote bar are covered with antique hats and beer advertising posters, the oldest of which dates back to 1884. Most of the visitors to this establishment are horse racing fans. They come to this village for the September competitions. However, the pub is not empty in other seasons either: the airstrip is nearby, so tourists arriving at this Last Frontier, of course, the first thing after the flight, of course, goes to have a glass or two of beer.
