How to prepare dishes for serving drinks
Cold wines and cocktails are traditionally poured into chilled glasses. The temperature of glass products can be reduced in four ways:
- put in the refrigerator in advance;
- place in the freezer for 15-20 minutes;
- fill with crushed ice, pour cold water on top, leave for 3 minutes;
- factoryWrap the glasses in a damp towel and place in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Shot glasses, wine glasses, cocktail glasses, etc. are cooled using these methods.
At the same time, it is important not to allow a sharp change in the temperature of the glasses - the glass may burst.
Mugs for coffee and hot ale, glasses for mulled wine and punch are usually heated. In restaurants, this is done using a special dish warmer. At home, you can pre-fill a mug with hot water or spray it with steam from a cappuccino maker.
Glass and ceramic products without gilding are heated in the microwave on medium mode in 1 minute. In the oven, this procedure will take 5 minutes at a temperature of +60° C.
