Simple and quick lemonade recipes with photos and detailed descriptions of ingredients can be found in this section. The history of this drink began in the 17th century, but then it was prepared with only three ingredients: ice water, sugar and lemon. Gradually, from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, this recipe spread throughout Europe, where it was improved by the French - they began to add violet and lavender syrups to lemonade. In Russia, “citron water” appeared under Peter I, and under Catherine II, not a single ball was complete without the popular recipe for lemonade made from oranges and lemons.

Modern lemonade recipes are much more varied. In addition to the traditional ingredients - freshly squeezed lemon juice, water and ice - syrups with different flavors are now added to the drink, from Watermelon and Vanilla to Almond and Lavender. And also orange, grapefruit, lime, cranberry, pomegranate or apple juice.

Pieces of fresh fruit, berries, scoops of ice cream, sprigs of tarragon, basil, lemongrass or mint are used as decoration.

By the way, World Lemonade Day is celebrated on June 25 - an excellent occasion to prepare a light, refreshing and invigorating drink with a subtle, spicy taste according to your favorite recipe.
