Blender

Today, a blender is found in almost every kitchen and is a real food processor, albeit with less power. Chefs cannot imagine a professional kitchen without a chopper, and bartenders cannot imagine a cocktail mixer, but the blender is their ancestor.

The history of the blender dates back to the 1920s, when American inventor John Poplawski created a device for mixing syrup with carbonated water. This drink was popular in the USSR and it was assumed that this technology should be received with a bang by the Eastern European market. However, it has become incredibly popular among bartenders in the United States.

At that time, establishments did not sell alcohol in its pure form - only as part of cocktails. The prohibition law in force at that time prohibited the sale of alcohol in any form, but it was difficult to find fault with cocktails. The work of a bartender then was physically tiring: regularly mixing cocktails in a shaker by hand required considerable effort. And the appearance of the blender marked a new era in the work of bartenders.

Since then, the blender has undergone quite a few changes. Many variants of the familiar device have appeared: rod, manual, immersion, combination blender. A professional kitchen mixer was also created on its basis: a double drive and an additional slot for a kitchen whisk were added to the blender.

Today you can buy a stationary professional blender in any store: it has become a part of our lives and today it is difficult to imagine a kitchen without a professional blender.
