Cocktail berries and flowers

03.12.2013

Many cocktails are decorated with colorful bright cherries. Painted red, yellow, blue or green, they provide the finishing touch. Cocktail cherries are used to decorate not only cocktails, but also cakes, pastries, and portions of ice cream in restaurants and cafes.

Often cocktail cherries are made from maraschino cherries. During the production process, the berries are discolored and later colored with food coloring. The pits are removed from the cherries. Cocktail cherries without stems are very popular in bars, while confectioners, on the contrary, prefer cherries with stems.

Recently, another type of decoration for cocktails and desserts has become popular - cocktail flowers. More and more often you can see glasses of champagne with wild hibiscus flowers at special events.

A hibiscus flower carefully transferred from a jar is placed into a wine or champagne glass. Add a few drops of sugar syrup in which the flowers were located. After this, sparkling wine is poured into the glass. To enhance the taste, you can use ODK Hibiscus syrup . The syrup colors the drink, creating a smooth transition from raspberry at the bottom of the glass to a delicate light pink on the surface.
