About the brand
The world's first cordials appeared during the Renaissance in France and Italy.
At that time, their use was limited to medical purposes: cordials were often taken as medicines. However, already in the 18th-19th centuries, cordials gained wide popularity as health-improving and simply tasty and beloved drinks.
Cordials were especially popular among seafarers.
In addition to preventing scurvy, they coped well with the most difficult task on the ship: the shortage of clean water, fresh drinks and high-quality alcohol.
Cordials guaranteed a pleasant taste to any drink prepared at sea, thereby keeping the ship's crew in good spirits and spirits.
After all, every ship captain knows how important the crew’s attitude is during a long voyage, when the horizon stretches into the distance for many months.
During the pre-war period, many Jewish families living in France, such as the Rothschilds and the Bernheim-Jeune brothers, Georges Wildenstein and Paul Rosenberg, were forced to flee Europe to another continent, taking with them a significant part of the family collections of French art collections.
Of course, they moved by sea, and before the long and dangerous journey, the crew was supplied with currant cordial, which the sailors already loved.
The CODE cordials are a nod to the Code Maritime - the French maritime code, which has repeatedly saved the lives of sailors and ships carrying cultural heritage in the vast expanses of water.
Original compositions, bright tastes, the perfect balance of sweet, sour and flavor components make CODE cordials a truly unique product on the market.
