Coffee "oriental style": old traditions in the modern world

18.10.2015

Coffee was brought to us during the era of the Great Geographical Discoveries, and it firmly settled in the hearts of Europeans. And, having migrated to the east, it acquired many traditions in cooking. One of them is making coffee on sand. Time passed and the 21st century arrived. And he brought with him many electrical appliances that make our lives easier. A machine for making “oriental coffee” has also appeared, which preserves the traditions and special taste of coffee, but simplifies the preparation procedure.

Modern devices retain a special oriental style, gleaming with copper sides. This is done not only for beauty, but also for the fastest heating of both the apparatus itself and the sand in it. The roasting pan should include quartz sand and a copper pot. Everything for the most correct preparation of aromatic coffee.

When you turn on the device, the heating elements are activated. They heat the sand quickly and evenly. After this, you can place a coffee pot in the sand, pour coffee inside the pot and carefully pour hot water over it. To maintain tradition, you need to prevent the coffee from boiling, otherwise it will lose all its taste. It is recommended to bring the prepared coffee until abundant foam appears, then remove it from the roasting pan and let it cool slightly. As soon as the foam has disappeared, you can put it back in the hot sand. Repeat several times - and now you have in your hands a fragrant and very strong drink with a rich aroma.
