Plastic cutting boards have a number of advantages over others. Firstly, they hardly dull the knife. In this they, of course, cannot compare with wood, but compared to other materials such as glass or stone, the result is much better.
A plastic cutting board is extremely easy to use: it is easy to clean, it is hygienic and does not absorb the juice of the cut products. It can be safely washed in the dishwasher. The disadvantages of plastic cutting boards include wear and tear: with active cutting, the working surface eventually becomes “overgrown” with scratches in which bacteria breed. Such a board is almost impossible to wash.
